Pro-Diagnostic PC & Mac (PDP)
Diagnostics and multi-drive erasure for computers — a signed app on macOS, a bootable Linux stick on PCs — sharing the same Control Center as the phone bench.
What it does
A laptop, desktop or tower is tested and erased in one pass. On a PC the machine boots from the stick, so the installed operating system is never trusted or needed, and the drives are erased in the background while the operator works through the guided tests.
- 23 tests on Mac, 25 on PC, automatic and operator-guided
- Full hardware profile per unit
- Every internal drive erased: NVMe, SATA SSD and HDD
- Methods follow NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and IEEE 2883-2022 wording
- Per-drive erase report attached to the unit record
Erasure that refuses rather than guesses
A RAID or VMD controller hiding drives refuses the run instead of under-erasing. A drive that fails sampled read-back verification fails the unit. The boot stick is never erased, and neither is the disk holding records that have not yet reached Control Center.
Honest scope
No ADISA certificate covers Pro-Diagnostic PC, so no certified-erasure claim is made for computers. Macs are erased by Mac Restore, which is where that certification sits.
